Text : Isaiah 51:2
” Look unto Abraham… and unto Sarah… “

You need to know that Abraham and Sarah had a good marriage. Yes!
How do I know?
Well, God wouldn’t have told us to look unto them.
God will never identify with a man whose marriage is not working; let alone pick him to fulfil his divine agenda on the earth. Read Malachi 2:13-15.
When God called Abraham out of his father’s house for the assignment he had chosen him for; Abraham did not leave alone, he took his wife along, immediately, not later! See Genesis 12:4.
Abraham wouldn’t have listened to his wife’s voice, and done what she told him (two times), if they didn’t have a good marriage. See Genesis 22.
Abraham wouldn’t have confidently rushed in to ask Sarah to prepare a meal for his heavenly visitors, if they didn’t have a good marriage. See Genesis 19.
Abraham wouldn’t have dared take his nephew, Lot, along if he and Sarah didn’t have a good marriage. I tell you!
Abraham would have told Sarah he was taking their only son, Isaac, to go and sacrifice him if they didn’t have a good marriage. But no! Because he couldn’t bear to see her agony. See Genesis 22.
At the point God called Abraham he was still married to only Sarah – no second wife, no concubine, no children outside his marriage! Even though they were still childless! He would definitely not have qualified for that divine assignment of being “the father of nations” and the father of faith. Childlessness was not an issue to him. As a matter of fact, he was ready to make his chief servant the heir of all his wealth and riches.
Abraham’s faithfulness to his wife and marriage pleased God so much that God intervened to give them a child of destiny! In their old age! Yes! Their age was not an issue to God at all. Their oneness in marriage was enough to do the “magic” – to bring forth the godly seed God needed to start a new race of man in Christ.

Now, can’t you see; that childlessness is not
an issue?
¤ Why then should you allow it to affect your love, respect and value for your wife?
¤ And you woman, why then should you allow that to keep you miserable and depressed? Why should that make you feel any less of a woman; or as if God has cheated you? Tell me!
¤ Husband, why then should you allow your mother, friends or relatives talk you into marrying a second wife? ¤ Why then should you get a stupid young girl pregnant and then keep her outside your home or bring her in to insult and humiliate your wife?
¤ Why then should you let your marriage disintegrate and die?
¤ Why then should you give up your honor and position in the church?
Please, think on these things. And May the God of heaven give you understanding, comfort you, heal and strengthen your heart, and empower your mind to repent and retrace your steps back to him. Because there is life after behaving and living anyhow just to have children on this earth. For what does it profit a man to have all the children in this world and lose his own soul… or make his wife and some other girl lose their soul? You really don’t need to impress or prove anything to any man on this earth. No! Praise God!

Text :Matthew 4:1
“Then Jesus was led out into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit, to be tempted there by Satan…”

Temptation from the devil should not be an issue to any Christian…Yes! Otherwise the Holy Spirit would have protected Jesus from it, instead of leading him into the wilderness to be tempted.

To a man full of the Holy Spirit, temptation is not an issue. Rather, it’s an opportunity to advertise your superiority over the devil. Yes! So don’t be afraid of temptation; just live your life as the Holy Spirit leads you, and go wherever he directs you to go.

Walk in the spirit, and you’ll never be a victim of Satan’s temptations – Read Galatians 5:16.
Make sure you’re Word-loaded (like Jesus was) – Read Colossians 3:16; Mark 12:24; Psalm 119:11; Luke 4:1-14.
Know who you are in Christ. That you have been furnished with abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness to reign over sin and Satan like Jesus did – Romans 5:17.
Know that God stands by to always give you victory – to cause you to triumph – 2Corinthians 2; 14; 1Corinthians 15:57.

Please note also, that the temptation is not the sin; it is falling for the temptation that is sin.

Any time the Holy Spirit is leading you (and you’re sure, not “forming” ), don’t be afraid of temptation. Will God now delay his agenda because the devil is around? Or, because he’s afraid that you will fall? No! He knows the stuff you’re made of. Jude 1:24 says he’s able to keep you from falling; and 1Corinthians 10:13 says he makes a way of escape for you when temptation comes! Isn’t he just a wonderful God and Father?

A man constantly given to spiritual exercise (what apostle Paul calls “godly exercise”) can never fall victim of Satan’s temptations. Jesus had fasted forty days and forty nights. So he had been fed and satisfied spiritually, and adequately empowered and strengthened with might in his inner man. So Satan couldn’t use his physical hunger to floor him! That’s why Jesus told us in Matthew 4:4 that man shall not live by bread alone…

If you’re empty (i.e. weak with hunger that has not been first satisfied ) in your spirit, surely, you’ll cheaply fall victim of Satan’s temptations. Because, you can handle the physical with the spiritual, but you can’t handle the spiritual with the physical (Read Ephesians 6:10-20).

Satan’s temptations are spiritual (they are spiritual attacks disguised in physical things). That’s why you must be constantly spiritually minded, sober and vigilant! Carnaly-minded Christians can’t handle the devil. No way!
Note that Satan is the tempter, not your boyfriend or girlfriend! Not that man or woman! Not your boss! Not your emotions! Not your belly!

Yes, the tempter will always come; but he doesn’t have to get you. When he came to Jesus, he tried everything he could, but Jesus frustrated him! And as Jesus is, so are you on this earth, according to 1John 4:17. So,stand strong and sure, always, in that legal reality! You’ll never again fall “mugu” for Satan and his gimmicks anymore, in Jesus precious name! Peace!
