At the prayer altar you put off the “old man” and put on the “new man”.

That is, the Holy Spirit squeezes the world out of you, and squeezes you into the personality required for you to fulfil God’s purpose for your life.

No wonder Jesus said to keep appearing at the prayer altar (as his custom was) -Luke 18:1.
