WILL YOU MARRY ME? with Ada Ezeka

Q:

Ma, please how can I start again after a long period relationship of six years, but at the end I was heartbroken, taken advantage of, and left without hope and joy?

A:

Common girl, it’s not the end of the world, okay? You still have your whole life and destiny ahead of you…And like Isaiah 52:1-2 says,

“Wake up, wake up, (my girl)!

    Clothe yourself with strength.

Put on your beautiful clothes, O holy city of Jerusalem, for unclean and godless people will enter your gates no longer.

Rise from the dust, (my girl).

Sit in a place of honor.

Remove the chains of (hurt and hopelessness) from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.”

Yes! You must not allow that hurt and disappointment to keep you captive. It will make you bitter and unforgiving…And that will shut the door against better things waiting for you in your tomorrow…

Just resolutely walk out on that ugly and heartbreaking yesterday of your life. Refuse to allow it to rob you of your dignity, self confidence and self esteem…

Let the guy go…Release him from your heart and make room in your heart for something new and better…So that you don’t carry the hurt, anger and bitterness into the next relationship, and pollute it…Yes!

Don’t sit there and have a pity party…Don’t discuss the ugly experience anymore…or you’ll continue to wallow in the stench of it!

Make a thorough appraisal of the six years and make some strong decisions concerning certain things/mistakes and foolishness that must never be repeated in your next relationship…

Get some more education, wisdom and understanding that will empower you to handle your next relationship in a more mature and profitable way…Read books, attend seminars and conferences, ask questions.

Meanwhile, do what Ephesians 5:17-20 says…for your perfect mental and emotional healing and recovery (very important):

“Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do….be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs…and making music to the Lord in your hearts…And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Peace, my dear! In Jesus name!
