HOW ARE YOU EATING?

Text: 1 Chronicles 29:22

“They ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great rejoicing….”

If you’re a Christian, God doesn’t want you hungry…He wants you to eat well…He wants you to eat sumptuously…He wants your family to eat well.

The long life God has promised you as a believer may be sabotaged, if you’re not eating the way God has ordained, planned and made provisions for you to eat…

The question is…How does God want you to eat?

Now…See how God wants you to eat…all the time…everyday:

>He wants you to eat in plenty and be satisfied – Read Joel 2:27.

>He wants you to eat good things – Read Psalm 103:5.

>He wants you to eat and be full- Read Deuteronomy 6:11 & 15.

>He wants you to eat without scarceness – Read Deuteronomy 8:7-9.

>He wants you to eat from barns filled with plenty – Read Proverbs 3:9-10.

>He wants you to eat from a full storehouse – Deuteronomy 28:8.

WHY DOES GOD WANT YOU TO EAT WELL?

>So you can stay young – Read Psalm 103:5

>So you can be strong – Read Ecclesiastes 10:17; 1 Samuel 28:20-22.

>So you won’t die – Read Psalm 107:18.

>The journey to the fulfillment of your destiny and the fruits of your labour is too far – Read 1 Kings 19:4-8; Psalm 92:12-14; Isaiah 65:20-22.

>So that you will live…a long, good and blessed-in-all-things life – Read Matthew 4:4; Genesis 24:1; Exodus 20:12.

WARNING!

God wants you to eat well, yes! But…

-Not for drunkenness – Ecclesiastes 10:16.

-Don’t make your belly your God – Philippians 3:18-20.

-Beware of craving – Numbers 11:4-6.

-Don’t make food a priority -Matthew 6:25.

-Put God First…Because God in your home is food in your home -Matthew 6:24-33.

-Don’t be selfish – Luke 12:16-21.

-You must work – 2 Thessalonians 3:10

-Don’t be greedy – 2 Kings 5:1-27.

-Don’t depend on yourself, salary, efforts…Honor the Lord with your substance – Proverbs 3:5-9.

-You shall not borrow – Deuteronomy 15:6.
