FAMILY LIFE UNIVERSITY with Nkwerre Women…August Meeting
Theme: VESSELS OF HONOR
Women are indeed vessels of honor!
The woman’s ministry came with such great honor and power from God!
God was bent on providing his man with a suitable help that will guarantee his maximum success in the job he gave him…Genesis 2:15 & 18.
And at the end of the day, who did he present to the man? The woman! Such a great honor…wouldn’t you say?
No wonder God told husbands to honor and respect their wives…Love them to pieces…and to be mindful of the tag he placed on them : “Fragile! Handle with care!”
In 1 Peter 3:7 he said,
“The same goes for you husbands: Be good husbands to your wives. Honor them, delight in them. As women they lack some of your advantages. But in the new life of God’s grace, you’re equals. Treat your wives, then, as equals so your prayers don’t run aground…”
In Ephesians 5:25, he said,
“Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church – a love marked by giving, not getting.”
Can you imagine? God has so much confidence in the woman that he said the honor and power her womanhood came with can totally transform her husband…even if he doesn’t go to church or read the Bible…Awesome, isn’t it? – 1 Peter 3:1-7.
That is why every woman (married or single, young or old) should do womanhood with dignity…
And refuse to allow tradition, and the world’s tragically uninformed perspective of the woman to decide her self esteem or value for herself…
No matter your age or estate in life, woman, you must be determined to do womanhood with great dignity and self respect…
Don’t sell yourself short!
Be mindful of the honor and power God created you with…You are of unequaled value to God…
Can you imagine…He said the man’s world is not complete without you…
He said the man can’t go far without you…
In Genesis 2:18 he said,
“It’s not good for the Man to be alone; I’ll make him a helper, a companion.”
And Proverbs18:22 says,
“Find a good spouse, you find a good life – and even more: the favor of God!”
Look at that…Do men read the Bible at all?
And Ecclesiastes 4:9-11 says,
“It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth.
And if one falls down, the other helps, But if there’s no one to help, tough!
Two in a bed warm each other. Alone, you shiver all night.”
Your husband is jobless…he’s incapacitated…or he’s even well off…but doesn’t fulfill his responsibilities towards you and the family…you’re the one paying the house rent…school fees… Christmas clothes…food on the table…the load is so heavy on you!
Well, didn’t God send you into his life as “helpmeet”…just the right help he needs for such a time as this? So, don’t let it diminish your respect for his authority over you, or in the home!
So, don’t murmur! Don’t grumble! Don’t tell the whole world about it! Don’t complain – not even to Good! Don’t nag him! Don’t rub it in! Don’t keep reminding him of his helplessness! Okay?
Even though he may not appreciate all you’re doing…Don’t let that affect how you do the job God created and employed you for…You’re doing it for him (God), not the man…And he’s aware of everything, and he’s with you always…
So be strong in him…Draw your strength from him…Ephesians 6:10 (Amplified); Isaiah 52:1-2.
And I’d like you to know this…God pays well…Yes! He said…
>He’s going to load you with “plenty of goods” by your children – Deuteronomy 28:11.
>He said you won’t labour for someone else to come and eat…rather he will make sure you live long and healthy to enjoy the fruits of your labour – Isaiah 65:20-22.
Isn’t that so comforting? So, shake off that sorrow! Shake off that hurt, that bitterness and unforgiveness…they’ll cut short your life!
Place a high value on your womanhood!
Protect and guard your “womanness”…It’s your greatest asset in life…It’s who you are – a woman! It wasn’t your choice! God decided it! So…No apologies!
I curse every sickness or disease that is harassing your body right now! You will live long, strong and healthy…happy and fulfilled…In Jesus name!
Just stay intimate with God…he loves you…And he’s always there for you! So rejoice!
