Text : 1 Corinthians 16:9

“For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.”

Don’t run the race of life with your mind on the adversaries!

Rather, run the race of life with your mind on the victory (your goal, vision, dream, purpose).

We read concerning Jesus:

“…who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame…”

Constant consciousness of enemies, obstacles and limitations that come your way (no matter how obvious or present they may seem), is a distraction.

Satan mounts them on the path to your desired goal/success to get you agitated, give you broken focus, and keep you busy dealing with issues, while others are making steady progress.

Now tell me, how much progress does a country make when it’s busy fighting wars?

That’s why you need to know such scriptural counsels like the one in Hebrews 12:2…

“Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection].

He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps. 110:1.]

Verse 3 says,

“Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds.” (AMP)

Did you see that? Thank God for “the comfort of scriptures”…I tell you!

So, it’s all up to you! You have the personal responsibility to choose what to focus on : the enemies, the trials and temptations, the hardships or satanic gang ups against you…or joy and fulfillment that come with accomplished goals!

As for God, he’s so persuaded about your resilience, diligence and determination that he said in Genesis 11:6…

“Look!…The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!” (NLT)

Know this:

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

And this also:as you move resolutely on, more conscious of your success than the challenges and oppositions…God will always give you victory. Yes!

That’s what 2 Corinthians 2:14 says…

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ…”

This year, nothing shall be able to distract you!

No matter how much he tries, satan will not be able to get your attention…in Jesus precious name! Alleluia!

I would love to hear from you!
