Text : Acts 6:1-7 (Read)

When the Apostles began Ministry after Jesus left, and they received the endowment of power for the job…they began with the secondary, instead of the primary assignment.

Later, Peter realized that it was a huge distraction, and decided to do something about it. Then he concluded, “But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.”

As soon as they became focused, they began to command notable results and impact – “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.”

Yes, a lifestyle of prayer will make you a person of focus…And focus commands commitment…and commitment commands great results and profit! (Proverbs 22:29).

And Jesus said, “if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”

That means, prayer keeps the spiritual atmosphere around you lighted…Because if the spirit realm is cloudy, foggy and full of shadows for you, you’ll just be groping in the dark, confused and taking steps and decisions based on assumptions…guessing your way through life! Who does that, please?

This is the reason for the struggles and frustrations many Christians suffer in life…and they blame the devil and their “enemies” for everything!

But prayer gives you clarity of vision…makes you spiritually sensitive for heavenly information, details and instructions from the Holy Spirit, for unbeatable results.

That’s why Jesus said you must not be tired of praying…or you’ll be a man/ woman too tired and too lazy to do the things that make for a victorious, prosperous and impact-making Christian life.

May the Lord give you understanding of these things, in Jesus name!

I would love to hear from you!
