Text : James 5:17

“Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!”

Yes, prayer makes things happen…Not just anything, but the things that God have already settled, or spoken of…

Because Elijah’s prayer was not just a careless prayer…it was anchored on what God had said concerning Israel if they didn’t change their ways….

So prayer activates the will of God…

That is, it makes tremendous power available for God to work with and establish what he had said…James 5:16 (AMP).

This means, if your prayer must release tremendous power to activate the will of God in any area of your life, you must first of all know what the will of God is, and then pray it – no guess work, no assumptions, no “If it is the will of God it will happen.”

That’s why Hosea 14:2 says, “Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him…”

You are the one to pray God’s will into effect in your life…

Just like Jesus did in the garden of Getsemani, in Matthew 26…when he faced the temptation of giving up on the mission of “he will save his people from their sin. – Matthew 1:21

Then, still based on what God had said, Elijah prayed again, and something happened again!

“And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” (James 5:18)

So one prayer is not enough…You prayed yesterday, you saw results…pray again today, you will see results!

Yes, prayer makes things happen!

So, a diligent, continued, ever-hot prayer life, will keep good things happening in your life as God has planned it…with the devil watching like this! I tell you! (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

I would love to hear from you!
