Have you ever considered how many women make up the sellers, especially, in our Nigerian markets…all over the nation?

One morning we were driving through a market on Warri to Owerri road…

And I marveled at the myriad of women selling this or that…offloading their wares from trunks of mostly dilapidated trucks and vehicles…hustling from here to there…

I couldn’t hold back the tears as I wondered, “Where are the husbands of these women?”

Then you pass through the town and you see the ones frying akara, yam, sweet potato and plantain…or the ones roasting either corn, plantain or yam…

Or the ones going from shop to shop with their “Abacha” on their heads…looking for buyers…

Or the ones pushing their cooked rice, beans and stew through the streets, or construction sites, in a truck to feed the workers breakfast, lunch and dinner…

Many of all these women don’t get back home until very late in the night…to still cook for their husbands and children…

Most of them are the financial pillars in their homes…

You’ll even be surprised to know that some of them have sponsored their sons and daughters through their secondary schools and universities, both in-broad and abroad…Some even sponsor their children’s weddings…

And now…they’re “locking down” the markets…

My heart has been weighed down all morning, thinking…”What is going to happen to the income of all the families that these tireless women “bread-win”, while the markets are “locked down”?

Somebody please tell me…😭😭😭😭😭😭?

Text : Proverbs 4:20-21

“My son, attend to my words;

incline thine ear unto my sayings.

Let them not depart from thine eyes;

keep them in the midst of thine heart.”

Do you know your heart is to you what the bank is to you in the physical?

People put away their money, and valuable things like expensive gold jewelries, diamonds, etc in the bank for safe keeping, don’t they?

Even so, God expects you to put away his Word in your heart for a time of need.

Anytime you’re studying or hearing God’s Word, you’re actually making deposits in your Word bank (your heart).

This is so that, in the case of any challenge or satanic assault, you can confidently make withdrawals.

You, know of course, that those whose accounts are fat with money never shake, worry, go to any man, or run around looking for help in time of need…because they know they are rich in money – sitting cool in their accounts. They just transfer…or go and withdraw!

Even so, believers who have rich Word accounts in their hearts (their Word bank)…don’t cry to God or any man…nor do they shake, in the face of any challenge or opposition from hell!

For instance, in Luke 4:1-14 when the devil came at Jesus with a barrage of temptations…Jesus simply made withdrawals from his Word bank.

How? Read what he said in Matthew 12:34…

And what happened? Luke 4:13 says,

“When the Devil finished tempting Jesus in every way, he left him…” GNT

As you begin to draw out from your Word bank now, with your mouth…I see every devil troubling your life, your mind, your, emotions, your body, your marriage, your business, family, children, or whatever leave you for ever, now, in the name of Jesus!

You are supposed to so value God’s Word that you’re laying it up somewhere…That somewhere is your heart.

Job 22:22 says,

“Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth,

and lay up his words in thine heart ( not in your head).”

Your heart is the perfect bank God has provided for the putting away of his Word…for your prosperity and total wellbeing here on earth. Read 3 John 1:2.

That is why the Word you hear, or see when you read, must necessarily enter your heart…Only then can you be sure that it will answer to you when you need it. Read Mark 4:13-20; John 1:12.

That’s why I always say, “The Word Of God targets our hearts not our heads…You receive the Word with your heart, not with your head!” Read Psalm 119:130.

It is in your heart that the Word you receive mixes with faith to give you good reports (that is, victory, testimonies). Read Hebrews 4:2.

If your Word account is poor…or always in red, you will always be in trouble…You will always be a victim of any evil the devil throws at you…And you’re like, “God, where are you? God, why me?”

A rich Word account will always keep the devil at bay in your life…and in everything that concerns you…

Because you’ll just keep making withdrawals as the Holy Spirit inspires you (in prayers, faith declarations, faith confessions). Read Romans 10:6-10.

Only the Word that has entered your heart will profit you, heal you, deliver you, make you free, make you wise, make you strong…and keep you alive, no matter how death rages everywhere!

However…I must tell you this: only a heart that loves and honors God can value and retain God’s Word. That’s right!
