THE MYSTERY OF PARENTING

NUGGETS FROM MY TEACHING ON: THE
MYSTERY OF PARENTING (Part 1).

Text: Luke 2:4 –

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him. “

image

This was my scriptural picture (example) of the product of effective, successful and achieved parenting.

For all parents who wonder what it means to ” train up a child in the way he should go”, or how to raise empowered children; or what God means when he said he wants ” a godly seed”,this is the approved, authentic model of a “well-brought-up” person!

WHAT IS PARENTING?

Parenting is the act (in fact, the art) of nurturing, raising and educating a child until adulthood – Proverbs 22:6).

I call it an art because parenting must be as unique and peculiar as every child is unique and peculiar. And an art is learnt; because it adds skill to your natural talents, gifts and endowments.
So parenting can/should be learnt. You don’t automatically become a good parent because you gave birth to the child. No wonder…!

WHAT IS NUTURING?

The future of every seed (child born into any home) is not just in the planting/birth; it’s, much more,in the nurturing. Continue reading THE MYSTERY OF PARENTING

WORD FOR THE WEEK

THINK ABOUT THIS…

Text : Proverbs 22:19
So that your trust (belief, reliance, support, and confidence) may be in the Lord… “ (AMP)

image

Seriously, think about this: if the scriptures have given you the assurance that, “the desire of the righteous shall be granted”, and that “thine expectation shall not be cut off”….Tell me then,is it not foolishness or kind of irresponsible to see what you did not believe God for (what you did not desire, what you are not expecting, what your faith did not place an order for) and begin to despair, fret, worry or think that God has disappointed you? Think about it… really! Continue reading WORD FOR THE WEEK

WORD FOR THE WEEK | HELLO, MISS BEAUTY & BRAINS!

HELLO, MISS BEAUTY & BRAINS!

Beauty soon fades… “
Proverbs 31:28 (MSG)

image

Yes, beauty soon fades, sweetheart ! So God couldn’t possibly have tied your great destiny to your outward looks. It’s all insi

That’s why he said in 1Samuel 16:7, “For I the Lord do not look as men look. Men look at the outward, I look at the heart. “

Your real beauty, girl, is hidden inside you. It’s the person God created you to be. BEAUTY is in the person (the man/woman inside that your body) not in your looks!

It is beauty that cannot be touched, destroyed, affected or corrupted by anything physical – like age, plastic surgery, cream, weather, accident, acid or deformity of any kind!

THAT’S WHY…

That’s why it’s spiritual ignorance to call a person who has no eyes, legs, hands, ears; or someone who is deaf and dumb “handicapped ” or “less-privileged”. The real person is inside – untouchable and unreachable by any calamity or congenital malformation! Continue reading WORD FOR THE WEEK | HELLO, MISS BEAUTY & BRAINS!

WANTED: HUSBANDS AND WIVES!

You come to your wedding as a man and a woman. But the wedding automatically qualifies and licenses you both as husband and wife. Then, marriage begins.

image

But the sad thing, and the greatest undoing of many marriages, is that many husbands and wives are doing marriage as just men and women. No wonder being married is not easy for many married couples. It takes a husband and a wife to be married.

If you, man, will consciously allow the husband in you to take the stage; and you, wife, allow the wife in you to take the stage, you will both have a marriage indeed -effortlessly! I tell you!

MARRIAGE IS SPIRITUAL!

Marriage is a spiritual institution, designed to be practiced by two spiritual male and female that have been legally joined together as husband and wife. Continue reading WANTED: HUSBANDS AND WIVES!

Sex and your Marriage

Husband and wife, don’t let your sex life die; it will kill your marriage!

Sex-keeps-the-marriage-alive_Ada-Ezeka

SEX in marriage is not just for procreation. There is something about sex that keeps the marriage alive. That’s why when a man begins to get sex outside his marriage, it begins to affect the marriage, big time.  And most times divorce follows! Because sex enhances bonding.

That’s why God ordained sex for only a man and his wife. It is to enhance the process of becoming one flesh. Let’s look at the scriptures:

“Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”1 Corinthians 6:16 New International Version (NIV)

AND

” ¹Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. I say this as a concession, not as a command. I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that. Now to the unmarried  and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.1 Corinthians 7:1-9 New International Version (NIV)

That’s why I preach against separate rooms! It is not good for fellowship and intimacy between husband and wife. Let’s see what Ecclesiastes 4: 10-12 says about that: “10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:10-12 New International Version (NIV)

If the fire has gone out or is going out in your sex life, don’t think it doesn’t matter- Take the matter to God (Matthew 18:18-19). Yes, God is interested in your sex life- “Husband, return to your wife – “Drink water from your own cistern… “, Proverbs 5:15 says. Stolen water is sweet, but it can also kill! (Read Proverbs 5 to the end)!

I believe this is rescue message for someone! God is so good, caring, merciful and committed to our joy and total well-being. Let’s co-operate with him.

God bless you!

CAN YOU PRAY?

image

TEXT: Matthew  26:53
“Or do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he will provide me with more than twelve legions of angels? ”
Hmmmm! If Jesus can pray, you better “can pray” too! Stop looking for who to pray for you; or consoling yourself that somebody somewhere must be praying for you.
Tell yourself, “If Jesus can pray, I can pray too! ” Yes; because that same Jesus is now in you )in the person of the Holy Spirit), supplying you the ability to pray and have results. Those who can pray will always enjoy divine interventions, any day, anytime, anywhere!
Study: Philippians 4:13; Acts 4:23-33; Acts 16:25; 1 Chronicles  4:9-10; Psalm 107:20; Psalm 57:2.

WORD FOR THE WEEK | SPEAKING WORDS OF POWER

Word-for-the-week_Words-of-Power_Ada-Ezeka_Blog

“What is in this man’s words that even demons obey him? ” – Luke 4:36 (TLB).

It’s not enough to speak, there must be power in your words! The Christian life is a speaking life. That is, a life that demands that you keep speaking (Joshua 1:8). It’s the only way to fill your life with good things (Matthew 12:35). Continue reading WORD FOR THE WEEK | SPEAKING WORDS OF POWER

Men of Purpose | Biographical Sketches | Michael Faraday

MICHAEL FARADAY

(The man who discovered electricity – “on this has been founded all those applications of electricity which form the muscles and nerves of our modern life… “)

HIS BIOGRAPHY – Part 1

“Michael FARADAY, extraordinary scientific genius as he became, had a very humble start in life… He grew up in an overcrowded home… receiving the slenderest education, and spending most of his early boyhood playing in the street. .. the family lived on Poor Relief…

Young FARADAY never missed a Sunday in St Paul’s Alley… where a small congregation of Christians held firmly to the Bible as the infallible Word of God.

Here FARADAY learnt from the lips of preachers a faith which shaped his life and became for him the most important message in the world… “
